Lysozyme Hydrochloride
Lysozyme got its name from being an enzyme that lyses or dissolves bacterial cells. Lysozyme functions by splitting a complex sugar molecule found in outer membrane of many living bacterial cells. Because of the nature of the cell wall, Gram-positive bacteria are most susceptible to lysozyme.
Lysozyme Hydrochloride (Food Grade): The main uses of Lysozyme in the food industry is related to its ability to selectively inhibit the uncontrolled growth of Clostridium tyrobutyricum during the maturation of cheeses. It can also be used as a natural food conservative by the wine- and beer- industries.
Lysozyme Hydrochloride (Standard): This quality is suitable for use in pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry; it is used in aerosols for the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases and for its prophylactic function vis-à-vis infectious pathology of the buccal cavity, especially relating to dental caries, as well found in droplets for nasal tissue protection and various therapeutic creams
